Instead of hiring a for-profit driver and taxi on rare occasions and paying $2.00 to $3.00 per mile, riders will all day long hop into the back seats of neighbors, coworkers, schoolmates, parishioners, shoppers, etc., and ride for $0.25 per mile.

Our concept

Powered by , the Roam™ app will pay anyone who drives a fixed amount per mile, based on their car’s occupancy, while sticking to their schedule and route.As our Community Network grows, trip occupancy and fares will rise, costs will fall, and seamless, almost costless mobility, will delight. The impact we make by proving that our service works will enable us to extend it locally and expand it globally.

What we’ve done so far

We have “lived” a huge problem for a long time. Vivek has spent 20 years applying tech at the intersection of proximity and collaboration. Jan, Felix and Marin have almost 18 years combined as founders of RRive, a highly innovative carpooling startup, in Germany. Who we are

When our Roam™ market team met the RRive product team, we quickly realized that 1+1=6.  We have the usual synergies that stem from a common mission and vision, and complementary skill sets. But the value of our combination goes much further. We complete each other across several dimensions.  The Roam™ business model and GTM approach and the RRive technical expertise and product design will create a seamless, frictionless user experience. Having just achieved market-product fit in our to be combined company, we’ll now achieve market-product fit out on the road.
